There are two (2) bands called Sluice. 1) Sluice is an independent rock band from just south of Sydney Australia. Formed by Jamie Fletcher , Andrew Murray , Scott Hinde and Steve Hinde in 2005 the band plays a unique style of Aussie rural rock/pop/punk. The first release from Sluice was the EP "Strange Terrain" in 2006. This 5 track EP was recorded at Sifonic studios in Goulburn ,New South Wales and gained the band a loyal local following. Scott Hinde left the band soon after the release and was replaced by Dave Tilley on Bass. Dave fitted in well with the band but the changing Dynamic saw the departure of Andrew Murray in 2007 leaving Sluice as a three piece . In 2008 the band began building The Wombat Hole recording studio in a disused Mushroom farm at Robertson , New South Wales. Here the band began work on their much anticipated debut album that would eventually be titled "Some Of The Hole Time". In 2009 the single "On The Grass" was released along with a video that received airplay on Australian T.V. and radio. The album was released in 2010 by Regal Records Sydney . Shortly after the albums release Dave Tilley left Sluice and Kevin Tiernan took up the role of Bass player for the band.
